Besides making calls, SMS remains the most frequently used function of 388 million Chinese cell phone users, followed by cell phone entertainments, including ringing tones, music and games, which are attracting more and more users as value added services. Chinese cell phone users have sent 274.38 billion SMS by last November, rising over 40% year on year. The figure is estimated to have neared 300 billion for the entire year of 2005 while creating around 30 billion yuan (US$3.7 billion) of market revenue.
Do we still wonder if mobile marketing is ever going to be big?
