World Cup countdown – T minus 53: Puma is in the house

April 17th, 2006 | by Klaus Holzapfel |

Puma AdYou now, Puma does soccer ads as well. Since their players are a little shy they’ll have to work with this ball-juggling artist. A few tricks to try at home – if you have high ceilings and a glass break insurance.

On a side-note:
I walked into the Adidas and the Puma “landmark” stores on 3rd street Promenade in Santa Monica last Saturday just to see if and how they are shaping up for the summer. Adidas pretty much had their act together: A full collection of jerseys for each team they sponsor was the first thing you could see.

The friends at Puma still have some work to do. They sponsor Ferrari and the Puma/Ferrari collection is all you could see.

Reminder: Ferrari does not participate in this year’s World Cup.

But then Ferrari is better known than most of the teams Puma will sponsor. Still: Jerseys anyone? Please.
