Something’s brewing in the streets of New York

Kudos to coloribus for bringing these shots of a Saatchi & Saatchi campaign to us.
I thought the big advertising agencies were all closed by now (”due to lack of creative ideas and the inability to cope with today’s fast paced environment”), but apparently there is still some creative potential left.
What a great idea to incorporate the steaming NYC manhole covers into a campaign for Folgers coffee.
Advertising dead? Nope. Just a bit more challenging in our days. This one shows how it can still be done.
Someone in Seattle might be watching and thinking: Guys, why didn’t we come up with this?

Good one Klaus! Seems its just a matter of time we get this guy

doing ad campaigns on a big scale. He paints these awesome pictures on the pavement that look like they are fully 3D objects (when viewed from the
correct angle) - seems this campaign is a spin on that (a clever one) much akin
to the way Hummer got graffiti artists to paint billboards for them to gain
credibility downtown. mmmm… taste of things to come.
