Ok,
I admit it: I was on the 97% side of the fence (the inactive blogs that is) for a little bit longer than anticipated.
The reason for that is that I don’t want to post any entries to this blog just to keep it active. Less is more in many cases. It certainly applies to the world of blogging.
Why do I blog?
It is easy to share my points of view on some issues relevant to me and actually saves me some time (instead of having a lot of one on one conversation about the same subject).
I also use this platform to highlight some important trends and developments in and around the world of marketing.
This blog is a great tool to share and exchange thoughts with likeminded individuals (marketing professionals or not). It is not primarily a vehicle to solicit new business. Our business has been very strong this year but that can’t directly be attributed to our blogging.
I do not use this blog to scream ME, ME, ME as loud as I can to get thousands of readers just because. Fortunately there is no need for this. conceptbakery gets the attention it deserves among its current and future clients.
Not having that pressure to use the blog as a straight marketing tool is a privilege and I am aware of that. To me it is also a responsibility not to waste your time and therefore I was silent for the last months. My mind was very occupied with issues related to our relocation from Los Angeles to Denver (More about that move at another time).
Us settling into our new environment is nothing that should be of your direct concern (unless you are interested in moving here as well;-)
Thanks for sticking around through the drought. I am on again. Not every day - just because. But whenever something comes up that is worth mentioning in my eyes.
