Open-Source-Marketing…
The most known Open Source Projects are the operating system Linux and the Internet browser Firefox. In contrast to, for example, a Microsoft operating system or browser, an Open Source Project Software is not programmed by a company. This work is done by a huge number of independent developers. Therefore, Open Source Software is usually free.
This practice has been used for a long time in different segments of marketing (Open Source Marketing). It is used in projects, in which users participate in a competition, for example, such as a generation of ideas for a marketing campaign (in this case we refer to crowdsourcing). It is used in such models as moviebakery, where the “creativity of the broad masses” and the “wisdom of crowds” is combined with the professional know-how of our agency in order to achieve the best possible results in accordance with the strategy of the client.
